Acceptable Use Policy
Any violation of the
following rules may result in suspension of computer privileges for a
minimum of 1(one) day and a maximum of the remainder of the school year:

Using the computer
workstations without the supervision of a faculty member or substitute

Viewing web sites that
contain or promote violence, alcohol, tobacco, or pornography

Viewing prohibited
sites such as U-tube and other music video sites, MySpace, Facebook
and other social networking sites

Using chat or instant
messenger programs
-
Destruction of a
computer or computer components
-
Altering the settings of
the computer without the permission of the lab manager
-
failure to follow
instructions
Student who consistently
fail to follow the lab rules will be assigned comparable work from the
Discovering Computers textbook.
Destruction of property
and offenses involved with "hacking" activities may prompt criminal
charges.
Food or Drinks
Food and/or drinks are not
allowed to be consumed in the computer lab. All food and drinks must
remain in student's book bag at all times or it will be disposed of.
Use of Email
Email may be used for the
transfer of files, such as, images or photos to be used on web pages.
However, the use of email without permission for personal communication
purposes is not allowed. |
